Where did the weekend go?

Where did the weekend go?  Who ever thought of the bright idea to consistently have a 5 day work week and a 2 day weekend?  I am fairly cerain it isn't Biblical or anything like that.  Some politician probably.

Oh well, I am just a little lady with no real power, so I guess we are stuck with the work week such as it is.  This week coming up though should be a fun one.  I hope it zooms by quickly.  On Friday we go to Savannah with the Maloneys.  I am sooooo looking forward to getting the heck outta Rock Hill.  Sometimes it pays just to take a breather and get a fresh perspective.  The Maloneys are pretty cool people and I can see some of our trips with them becoming a tradition.  ;)  Well at least I hope so...

Today we had a Fall festival at church. It is one of my most favorite events that we do at church.  There are a lot of people just milling around, the kids can run off and do their own thing and us parents don't really have to worry too much about what they are doing.  There is a lot of candy, jumpy bounce house thingys, and a big slide.  Then there is the awesome hay ride.  That is always fun!  I bet it would be even more fun at night.

(It just dawned on me that the only people who are going to read this are people who were already at the festival, hah!)

I am a tired chick tonight, but I am gonna wait up on my hubby I think.  He is at guys' night with the SS class.  I think he is having a good time if I can judge by his texts.....

This is a lame entry........

Getting older, but no pants suits for this chick

Okay, maybe I can make this entry a little bit more interesting than the last one....I am getting nervous.  My birthday is approaching and I feel apprehensive about it.  I usually don't put too much stock into birthdays, well I mean my birthday, anyway.  Don't misread me, I don't care that I am turning 35, it is never about the age.  I firmly believe that you are as old as you feel, but let's face it, society places some expectations on us the older we get.  Which sucks....But I am here to tell you right now there are some old fogie things I will NOT be participating in, I don't care how old I get.  The first thing on my list of old folk things to avoid is the matching pants suit and sandals.  I swear, I do not like pants suits, matching casual wear stuff.  You have to know what I am talking about.  You can ask the people I work with.  I will see a middle age, or older woman come into the theater wearing the type of outfit that I despise and I will immediately point it out and tell them, you will never find me in one of those.  What is up with them?  They sell in linen, cotton, and I believe I have even seen them in some form of shiny silkish material.  They are typically uniform in color, maybe have a matching jacket, some beading perhaps.....and the kicker for me, is that the old ladies always wear them with hose and sandals.  NOT ME!!!

Okay I don't know why I got on THAT soapbox, but here is why I am aprrehensive.  I told myself that I was gonna get my tattoo for my birthday.  And by golly I am gonna do it, but I am nervous about it.  Doing something permanant like that is scary.  I also want another piercing, but I am pretty sure I will have to choose one over the other.  I choose the tattoo because it seems like it is now or never.  I am to the point where I am tired of talking about it and I am excited to see what it will look like.  I think now would be a good time to call the tattoo shop and see what I can figure out.......

Save me from the laundry zombies...

So I am not sure why the heck I feel like I need to start a blog...but everybody else is doing it, so why not me?

I need somebody to save me from the laundry zombies.  I seriously don't mind washing the laundry, drying the laundry, folding the laundry, or even sorting the laundry...But putting that stuff away gets me every time.  I think that I may be a little bit ADD when it comes to household chores in general though.  Chores suck.  We should boycott chores.  It's just a thought-

I am on my 5th load of laundry.  I have folded(and sorted) two of them, one load is drying, one load is washing, and one load is in that limbo stage between washing and drying.  The "wet basket" stage.

Okay I get it, this is a lame discussion I am having with myself about laundry, but I'm really just testing the waters here to see if blogging is something I can get into or not.
